What's new at CDA? So freaking much! We have a new crop of artists, a new slew of inventory, and new hours of operation for the holiday season! Until December 27, we will be open for extended hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday--see our calendar for more details. We also have new works in the shop from all our artists, and a new group of contributors who've graced us with their amazing creations. DO NOT MISS OUT! Also beginning December 2^nd, The Acting Artists’ Gallery at Salt Lake Acting Company will be hosting an exhibition of art created by students from The Montessori School of Salt Lake. The student artists, aged five to eight, have been asked to create dog-themed artwork to celebrate Salt Lake Acting Company’s production of “Go, Dog, Go!” The exhibition will be open to the public from December 2 to December 27, Monday thru Friday from 9 am - 5 pm and 11 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from each sale will benefit the Montessori School of Salt Lake.

If you haven't already experienced the awesomeness that is Commodity Del'Arte, now is the perfect time. During the run of Saturday's Voyeur at SLAC--from June 3 to August 16--Commodity Del'Arte will be open an hour before showtime and at intermission at Salt Lake Acting Company, located at 168 West 500 North in Salt Lake City. Check out our new inventory and the new works in the gallery--featuring paintings and prints by Garrick Dean, photography by Dustin Bolt, and graphite renderings by Una Pett. Photos don't do these works justice, so ease on down to SLAC and git yerself an eyeful! Don't forget to check out our flickr photostream to see shots of some of our new inventory...

Curious about our little shop? Want to know what we sell? Too lazy--sorry, busy-- to make the trek out here in person? We hear you.

Here are some photos of what we're doing at the moment. Commodity del'Arte adds new inventory on a rolling basis, and will be revamping our current stock and layout following the end of SLAC's current show, End Days, on April 26th. If you're thinking about visiting us, or about bringing in your work for consignment, now is a good time.

If you see something you simply must have, don't hesitate to call or e-mail us; stock comes and goes quickly, and we want to ensure that the right item gets to the right person. And the right person is you.

Consignment Guidelines

Commodity del'Arte accepts artist submissions on a rolling basis, and as shop space allows. Submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, using our mission statement and current shop inventory as guidelines for approval.

All submissions must be approved by Commodity del'Arte's Director a minimum of one week prior to initial sale date to allow enough time for you to complete your paperwork and for us to adjust our store layout and inventory as needed.

Products currently in the boutique include handcrafted jewelry, scarves, limited edition art prints, knitwear, antiques, mobiles, and collage art. The gallery currently features digital photo collage and mixed media collage art by Kent Harrison Hayes, abstract acrylic canvases by Marylynn Alldredge Ehrengard, and acrylic and mixed media figure works by Shanna C. Jones. For ideas on the kind of stuff we like, check out the photos of the shop and the gallery, or better yet, visit us in person. We'd love to meet you and get to know your work.

Acting Artists Gallery & Boutique ~ Commodity del'Arte ~ is now open Wednesday-Sunday at Salt Lake Acting Company! We feature talented, passionate and inspired local theatre artists and their artwork, paintings, jewelry, photography, clothing, collectible antiques, and more!

Join us for "END DAYS" and visit our gallery & boutique. You may find that perfect, one of a kind art item you never knew you needed!

Generously hosted by Salt Lake Acting Company, our Gallery (located in the "Green Room") and Boutique (across the hall) will be open one hour before curtain, at intermission, and--by arrangement or request--for a half hour following the show.
